OGIEK PRESS STATEMENT
The decimation of another indigenous people is taking place in
Africa - this happened systematically round the world since the
17th century. Another tribe of people is to be displaced, unheard,
detroyed.
A brutal legacy
took place within these British Isles in the late 18th and early
19th centuries. The land clearances is still etched in the
minds of the people of the Highlands today. There is no question
that many Highlanders were betrayed by their clan chiefs and
imported English noblemen.
This form of
control and betrayal continues to this day in other nations conducted
by the same oligarchy that is responsible for the rape and
pillage of other lands and genocidel acts against indigenous

concerning the OGIEK people, keepers of the ancient Mau rain
forests for centuries. Since the British invaded their country
there has been an attempt to evict the OGIEK from 'THEIR'
