Riots erupt in Kenya's Kisumu,
police fire in air

KISUMU, Kenya, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Police fired teargas and bullets
in the air on Monday in the western town of Kisumu where protests
erupted over the killings during the weekend of people in Kenya's
Rift Valley, residents said.
Several thousand pro-opposition demonstrators took to the streets
to complain about the deaths of members of their Luo ethnic
community in the towns of Nakuru and Naivasha in violence there
since Friday, witnesses said.
